Beth E. Lee, MBA
Managing Director
Beth E. Lee is a seasoned event executive with over 20 years of global corporate and non-profit event experience. Beth started her career working for a non-profit in her hometown of Boston, MA operationally managing and facilitating education programs for the State wide accounting association, Massachusetts Society of CPA’s. She also spent a number of years working for the AIDS Action Committee on their annual AIDS Walk both behind the scenes and as a volunteer. While working for both of these organizations, Beth attained her Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing.
She then went into the event production business working her way up from content producer to Deputy Managing Director within two years, for the International Quality & Productivity Center. It was in this role that Beth learned the importance of all facets of an event including marketing, sales, operations and most importantly content. To expand her career, Beth launched a speaker bureau business for Carat Brand Experience, one of the worlds largest media agencies in Boston, MA which she continued to run as she moved to Sydney, Australia.
It was in Sydney, Australia where Beth landed the position of Content and Marketing Director for ad:tech Sydney, the worlds largest digital advertising event. She launched the global event into two new markets, Sydney, Australia and Singapore. (ad:tech Singapore) Her role was responsible for researching, writing and managing the entire conference program, managing the marketing P&L, creating and executing both the digital and offline marketing program, and executing on-site logistics. The event was a success in its launch year, in both countries, bringing in close to 800 delegates in Sydney (500 in Singapore) and recruited over 120 speakers for both events including a number of International Keynotes.
Along with producing ad:tech, Beth launched the iMedia Brand Summit and the iMedia Agency Summit in Australia. These invite-only events brought together both marketers and agency executives in a closed environment allowing them to share ideas, network, and hear from top international speakers. Beth was responsible for managing all facets of these events including the research of delegates, the marketing program, as well as the event agenda.
Before her move to Ireland, Beth launched a new type of event company, “The Insight Exchange”, with her mentor, futurist Ross Dawson. She interviewed a number of high profile business executives bringing them together to create a new forum that focuses on sharing knowledge amongst everyone. As CEO, Beth oversaw the content, operations, and creation of this new company.
In June 2011, Beth and her family moved to Ireland to be closer to home. As founder of MagentaPen Ltd., Beth continues to feed her passion of creating unique events that connect, entertain and educate individuals.
